Chinnock Chimes - April-May 2026

Chinnock-Chimes--AprilMay-2026

I'm hoping, like everyone else probably, that with Spring arriving we are going to get some better weather which will make getting out into the garden a bit more appealing. This year, the East Chinnock Gardening and Countryside Club's Annual Village Show will take place on Saturday 25th July at 2.15pm in the Village Hall.

You will find all the information for Rules of Entry, the Categories and Entry Form in this issue, see pages 5, 6 and 7.
Apart from growing plants there are sections for flower arranging, cookery, handicrafts, art, and photography, as well as sections for childrens' entries, something for everyone I would think so start planning!

On a personal note, I will soon have completed two years production of the newsletter, originally as a stopgap when the previous Editor 'retired'. Although I have enjoyed doing it, I feel it is time for someone else to take over so that I can 'retire' too. I’m hoping that there is someone out there willing to take it on soon - anyone familiar with desktop publishing and an interest in the village, its history and events can do it. Please contact
me if you would be interested. Email: thechinnockchimes@btinternet.com

Copy for the next issue: 4th May please.
