Somerset Waste Partnership - Recycling update

Somerset-Waste-Partnership--Recycling-update
21 July 2021

Please find attached the fifth edition of the Recycle More Messenger, the regular briefings keeping you up to date with the roll-out of Recycle More.

Three weeks after its launch, the service is starting to bed-in, but Somerset Waste Partnership are very aware that it has been introduced at a time of disruption and significant pressure on our collections. This has made it harder to deliver a smooth launch of the new service.

Somerset Waste Partnership apologise for that and understand that there may be some frustration among residents. They would ask that people bear with them through this difficult period and not lose sight of the environmental benefits of the services. The disruption to collections is temporary, those benefits are permanent.

Somerset Waste Partnership expect to be able to provide figures for extra recycling collected in South Somerset in the next and final Recycle More Messenger.
